Job Summary

We are seeking a Construction Site Manager to support the successful execution of industrial construction projects. This role works closely with the Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Production team to organize, direct, and evaluate all phases of construction—from planning through completion. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and experienced in industrial field construction.

 

Job Description

  • Coordinate construction site activities in alignment with project scope, schedule, specifications, and budget.
  • Serve as the on-site representative, ensuring work quality and strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Issue and maintain daily Hazardous Work Permits (HWPs).
  • Conduct and document Daily Safety Briefings; review contractor Job Safety Analyses (JHAs).
  • Record and submit detailed daily construction reports (attendance, site activities, equipment, and observations).
  • Coordinate site operations with the Prime Contractor’s Site Superintendent.
  • Ensure contractor qualifications and equipment inspections are verified and documented.
  • Monitor construction for compliance with contract documents, engineering standards, and safety codes.
  • Oversee and document Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) inspections and non-destructive evaluations (NDE), including: Pneumatic and hydrostatic testing, Radiography, Dye penetrant testing
  • Identify, resolve, and track site issues, and report critical concerns to the Project Manager.
  • Maintain and update Scope of Work (SoW) and construction documentation.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with contractors and vendors to ensure material and equipment availability.
  • Schedule construction phases to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate with the Production team to plan for site-impacting activities and confirm completion of Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) and energy control procedures.
  • Manage unexpected project disruptions such as delays or emergencies.
  • Conduct Pre-Startup Inspections and maintain required checklists.
  • Regularly report project status and key updates to management.
  • PPE Required: Hard Hat, Safety-Toe Boots, Safety Glasses, Flame-Resistant Clothing (FRC), Hearing Protection, 4-Gas Monitor

 

Skills Required

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial field construction experience (Industrial Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, or similar).
  • Proficient in construction methods across civil/structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA safety practices; OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction scheduling, building codes, and contract interpretation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to proactively identify and manage safety risks and project challenges.
  • Experience coordinating testing and inspection processes related to piping, pressure systems, and structural installations.
  • Experience with cryogenics, including liquid CO₂ production and storage, is a plus.
  • Background in coordinating utility connections and infrastructure development is desirable.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Education and Certifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Additional technical certifications or coursework in construction management, safety, or engineering is a plus

Pay Rate

  • $76 per hour
