Dependable Nurses, Inc. has proudly served Arizona families for over 30 years, providing compassionate and high-quality in-home nursing care for children with complex medical needs. Our Pediatric Division is built on teamwork, trust, and a shared commitment to helping families thrive.
We’re seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Phoenix Pediatric team as a Staff Development Nurse .
This role focuses on clinical education, staff competency, and compliance — supporting both nurses and Licensed Health Aides (LHAs) while ensuring the highest standards of care.
The Staff Development Nurse oversees the Licensed Health Aide (LHA) program , performs Quality Assurance (QA) reviews of charts, and assists Clinical Supervisors with nursing administrative functions. This is a hands-on, collaborative role — perfect for an RN who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and shaping clinical excellence.
Coordinate and conduct orientation for new nurses and LHAs.
Provide ongoing education, skills training, and competency evaluations.
Oversee the LHA program, ensuring compliance with DDD and Arizona regulations.
Conduct QA chart reviews to monitor documentation quality and adherence to policy.
Identify clinical or documentation gaps and coordinate retraining as needed.
Support Clinical Supervisors with nursing administrative functions, including:
Providing clinical feedback and mentorship to field nurses.
Supporting follow-up on incidents, care concerns, and member updates.
Maintain training and competency records and support policy and procedure updates.
Collaborate across departments to promote continuity, accountability, and professional growth.
Active RN license in Arizona (required).
3+ years of experience in pediatrics, home health, or clinical education (preferred).
Knowledge of DDD standards, LHA regulations, and chart auditing practices.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Proficient with electronic health record systems and audit tracking tools.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (required).
Salaried position (commensurate with experience).
Health, dental, and vision insurance.
Paid time off and 401(k) participation.
Mileage reimbursement for field visits.
Professional development and continuing education opportunities.
At DNI, you’re not just helping others grow — you’re growing with them. We believe in supporting our nurses with the same care and respect that we expect them to give our members.
