Summary

Under general direction, this role performs a variety of job responsibilities which may include delivery of fertilizer and chemical products to customers from the Unit office, equipment and plant Simplot Grower Solutions is looking to fill a seasonal Truck Driver/Warehouse position. Full-time, temporary, position with full benefits and the opportunity for substantial over-time hours. The primary responsibility is to operate trucks, deliver fertilizer and chemicals and assist with plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate fertilizer truck, fill application equipment, and support plant operations as needed
• May assist with recordkeeping related to warehouse/inventory responsibilities
• Maintain and keep trucks clean
• Performs varied responsibilities such as: equipment and plant maintenance including welding, pump and engine overhauls, painting, and general housekeeping responsibilities
• Loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers
• Miscellaneous duties such as assisting with special projects, attending training sessions, providing back-up when needed, etc.

Typical Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Skills & Relevant Experience

• Truck driving experience preferred
• Knowledge of local rural geography is a plus
• Knowledge of farm operations is a plus

Requirements

• Must hold and maintain a Class A or B CDL and appropriate driving record
• HazMat Endorsement preferred
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must be willing and able to work Ag Industry Hours: overtime and weekends to meet seasonal demands
• Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job
