This position ensures that administrative tasks are completed accurately and promptly. This role supports the nursing staff by managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and coordinating communication within the unit. In addition, this position assists with the admission, transfer, and discharge processes. Additionally, this role actively participates in providing outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with all individuals. Responsibilities for this role include performing administrative tasks, supporting nursing staff, managing patient records, coordinating communication, assisting with patient processes, and providing customer service. **The value you'll bring to the team:** + Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department or unit. + Exemplifies AdventHealths core values of Keep Me Safe, Make It Easy, Love Me, and Own It through behavior. + Notifies and calls other departments or physicians when necessary and places appropriate information on the chart, forms, computer, and electronic record. + Accesses the medication room to place medications in a secure area upon arrival to the floor. **The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed:** **Minimum qualifications:** + High School Graduate or Equivalent Required + Two years perioperative services experience + Medical Terminology and basic clerical/receptionist skills. + Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required **Preferred qualifications:** + 1 year Work Experience Preferred + NonViolent Crisis Intervention Program (CPI) Preferred This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
