Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Flux Core Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic team in Louisville, KY. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the fabrication and assembly of metal components, ensuring high-quality standards and safety protocols are met.

The hours are 1st shift, 5am-1:30pm.

Fitting and Fabrication work are a part of the responsibilities for this specific role.

Responsibilities

• Perform Mig/Flux core welding on various metals, including steel and aluminum, to fabricate components according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine project requirements.
• Set up and operate welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are maintained in good working condition.
• Inspect completed welds for quality and adherence to safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols.
• Assist in training new team members on welding techniques and safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding or fabrication preferred.
• Proven experience as a Flux Core Welder or similar role.
• Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Welding certification is a plus.

• Troubleshooting Skills
• OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
• Welding Setups for Production
• Blueprint Reading

Machines & technologies you'll use:

• MIG Welder
• Flux-Cored Arc Welder

Salary info:

$27 - $30 / hr
